Celebrate contemporary Maori theatre in Aotearoa, New Zealand! Five major panels will take place throughout the day. From the perspectives of the emerging to the established, from playwrights to directors, producers to actors, with a focus on local, national and global theatre!

Hosted by Taki Rua Productions and joined by Maori production houses Tihi Limited, Te Ao Marama and Tawata Productions, the Maori Theatre Hui, 2006, will feature the best of theatre talent, including Briar Grace-Smith, Hone Kouka, Tanemahuta Gray, George Henare, Katie Wolfe, Rachel House, Miriama McDowell, Murray Lynch, Tanea Heke, Albert Belz, Carla van Zon, David Inns and many more, sharing their work and experiences.
Invitations are warmly extended to one and all, the Maori Theatre Hui, 2006, is a day for theatre practitioners, theatre lovers, theatre students, theatre masters, friends and whanau to celebrate the future of contemporary Maori Theatre in Aotearoa, New Zealand and the world!
Registration Fees Apply: $20 (Before Nov. 1, 2006); $30 (After Nov. 1, 2006). Registrations will be accepted on the day. Lunch included! Māori Theatre Hui, Downstage Theatre, Wellington. Saturday, November 4, 2006, 9am - 4.30pm
